Kansas City Crime Solvers $50,000 Reward
Jerry Barham @
kansascitycrimesolversreward@gmail.com
Dear Elder Cousin,
On December 24th, 2006 at 5 AM, two individuals broke into my
North Kansas City, Missouri residence and viciously attacked and
robbed me and a companion. I was hospitalized for weeks
recovering from the brutal beating, followed by several months of
physical rehabilitation.
A kind individual has posted news coverage of the incident
and KC Crime Solvers $50,000 Reward onto
YouTube and
LiveLeak.
Following the advice of the KC Crime Solvers organization, we have
started an e-mail campaign to spread the story to as many people as
possible in hopes of catching these individuals before they hurt
someone else like this.
Please click on this
YouTube link
or this
LiveLeak link to view the video and pass along to as many people
as you can. We could use all the help we can get to ensure
that nobody else gets hurt and that justice is served. Thank
you.
Sincerely,
Jerry W. Barham

Nestle Very Best in Youth Program
Deadline: November 20, 2008
The Nestle Very Best in Youth Program, sponsored by Nestlé USA,
honors young people (ages 13 to 18) who have excelled in school and
who are making their community and the world a better place. The
young people, selected from nominations from volunteers,
parents, and teachers, will be featured in a special publication and
honored at a black-tie ceremony in Los Angeles in July 2009.
To be eligible, applicants must be legal residents of the United
States or its territories and be between 13 and 18 years of age.
Students will be judged based on the information provided on the
entry form (i.e., strong academic record; special contribution to
school, church, or community; demonstration of good citizenship or a
personal obstacle the youth has overcome).
Judges will select twenty-five outstanding youths to be profiled in
a book, which will be published in the summer of 2009. If a winner
is unable to attend the awards ceremony, his/her prize will be
forfeited and another winner may be selected.
Each winner will also receive a trip with his/her parent or legal
guardian to Los Angeles for the Nestlé Very Best In Youth awards
ceremony. The trip will include round-trip air travel, hotel
accommodations for three nights, and $500 in spending money. In
addition, Nestlé will donate $1,000 in the name of each winner to
the charity of his or her choice.
Visit the program's Web site for complete program information and
application materials.

addition information, contact Sylvia Garner at 951-549-3275.
Syracuse University has 10 Full Rides for African American Men
and Women Interested in Studying Architecture.
Mark Robbins, Dean of Syracuse University's School of
Architecture is desperately seeking young men and women of color
interested in pursuing a five year professional degree in
Architecture. He says he's deeply committed to bringing diversity to
his field and has scholarship money set aside to fully cover
education costs for 10 students. He says that Hispanic enrollment in
the school has increased substantially, but it's been harder to
attract Blacks.
Syracuse University's School of Architecture has a great
reputation and this seems like a terrific opportunity, so please
pass this on to everyone you know. Contact: Mark Robbins, Dean,

We Love Our Friends In Tuvalu!
Tuvalu (IPA: [t:u:'valu]), formerly known as the Ellice Islands,
is a Polynesian island nation located in the Pacific Ocean midway
between Hawaii and Australia. Its nearest neighbors are Kiribati,

with a gross land area of just 26 square kilometers (10 sq mi) it is
the third-least populated independent country in the world, with
only Vatican City and Nauru having fewer inhabitants.

Economics of Education
The Truth About Education
In his latest book, Economic Facts and Fallacies, Thomas Sowell,
provides an in-depth analysis for why much good-intended public
policy typically results in disastrous results for the public.
According to Sowell, social engineers and policy “experts” attempt
to foster progressive change through the idolatrous worship of
fallacies, falsehoods and seductive distortions. By rejecting
economic facts in favor of economic superstitions, such policy wonks
do incalculable social harm.
